SKYLINE HFP 5000

Inverter power source for DC TIG and MMA welding

DC pulsed inverter power source for TIG welding (H.F. and Lift-arc) of alloy steel and iron-carbon alloys. It is used in MMA welding with acid, mild steel and low-hydrogen electrodes. It is used in maintenance, medium-to-heavy structural steel works and building industry.

Description + -

The SKYLINE HFP series inverter generators are specifically designed for DC TIG welding. The arc striking is triggered by HF or LIFT ARC. They are also suitable for MMA welding of acid, rutile and basic electrodes.

TECHNOLOGY

The inverter technology and special design features allow for reduced weight and size without losing reliability and performance. Thanks to the microprocessors, welding is controlled moment-to-moment which allows optimal stability, exceptional dynamics (even at minimum amperages) and perfect arc ignition.

ENERGY SAVING

These generators have been designed for high performance, offering significant advantages in terms of efficiency and reliability. The efficiency of the processes saves production time; controlled ventilation and cooling allows for further reduction in energy costs.

DIGITAL CONTROL BOARD

The control panel allows you to adjust the settings in an easy and intuitive way, both in touchscreen mode or using the knobs. You can configure 3 levels of complexity depending on the operator’s experience level: basic, intermediate, advanced. You can save up to 99 programs as Jobs. For added safety, the interface can be locked with password.

WELDING PROCESSES

Numerous functions are available for TIG welding, including:

  • The ascent ramp (from 0 to 10 seconds), the descent ramp (from 0 to 10 seconds), the pre-gas (from 0 to 25 seconds) and the post-gas (from 0 to 25 seconds)
  • Self-adapting post-gas
  • Option to set the initial and final current time
  • Option to set base current, current 2, initial and final current as an absolute value or as a percentage of the main current
  • The PULSED TIG option, with adjustable impulse frequency of between 0,1 to 5000 Hz, as well as adjustable base and peak current produces extremely low heat input, thus allowing the welding on extremely thin sheets with no warping the welded metal.
  • Timed welding with optimum time management (spot welding)
  • ‘TACK’ function: allows fast and reliable spot-welding of thin sheets with high penetration.

In MMA welding, the Hot Start is adjustable for easy striking of coated electrodes and the ARC Force to prevent sticking during welding. There is also a VRD function, required for use in high-risk environments.

REMOTE CONTROL

Remote adjustment can be done using manual, pedal or up-down torch controls.
